Terry has worked within the medical communications arena for 20 years. The first ten years within the specialist publishing area (Geriatric Medicine, Trends Life Science journals), culminating in 3 years at The Lancet as International Sales and Marketing Director.
He has 10 years agency experience within the disciplines of advertising, PR, and medical education as a business development specialist. Terry has been part of the WPP group (Ogilvy and Cohn & Wolfe) for 5 years where he worked to develop an integrated approach to medical communications across a diverse range of clients from biotech (ARK Tech), to pharmaceutical (Roche/BMS) and healthcare (Danone).
Duncan has a PhD in neuroscience and a decade's postdoctoral research experience in the field of cardiovascular medicine while working at the University of Cambridge and the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
Since moving into medical communications in 2002, Duncan has worked for some of the leading agencies, most recently heading up the Scientific Services team at Ogilvy Healthworld. During this time he has delivered a wide range of medical education initiatives across many therapy areas, including product differentiation and messaging, class nomenclature, scientific platform development, stakeholder mapping, formulary engagement, thought leader development, workshop design and behavioural change programmes.
